5 February 2008 - PeerSync 7.4 released
PeerSync 7.4 provides expanded functionality and improved performance for enterprise-level synchronization and backup. PeerSync 7.4 offers tighter integration with peerlock and enhanced scan processing to more efficiently handle large volumes of data and complex directory structures

“Managing data in enterprise environments demands a continual balancing of functionality/power and performance,” said Paul Marsala, CEO of Peer Software. “Often, one comes at the expense of the other. The new version of PeerSync was developed to offer a true enterprise-grade file management tool that delivers uncompromised functionality and performance—IT admins now have the ability to efficiently manage larger volumes of data, provide users with a transparent, reliable collaborative framework by way of PeerLock, and maintain complete data availability without overburdening network resources.” Get more information from here.

25 October 2007 - Peer DRS 1.2 released
Peer DRS centralises the management of Microsoft SQL database and Microsoft Exchange backups and replication from a single location and from a single interface. The new version supports Microsoft SQL and most versions of Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Server 2000 SP2 or greater, all versions of Exchange Server 2003, and all versions of Exchange Server 2007).

Peer DRS can be configured to cater for almost any type of backup scenario, which is further simplified by its intuitive configuration wizard and management interface. It is not necessary to run Peer DRS on the same server as the primary database or target Exchange servers. Peer DRS automates the replication of databases and incremental changes on a primary server, which are then restored onto one or more target standby servers. Transaction logs are automatically backed up throughout the day (for whatever interval specified), which are then automatically restored on a standby server located anywhere in the world. The result keeps the two databases synchronised; should the production server fail, users simply have to point the users/applications to the new server and perform a database "role reversal". Get more information from here.

16 October 2007 - PeerSync Observer 2.0 released
PeerSync Observer Enterprise Edition V2.0 offers complete interoperability with the new version of PeerLock 2.0, the industry’s only stand-alone file locking tool. PeerLock 2.0 eliminates version conflicts many users experience with Microsoft’s DFS Replication solution, as it adds true file-locking. Administrators implementing both PeerSync Observer V2.0 and PeerLock 2.0 will achieve immediate productivity gains. Collaboration is made even more efficient, reliable and transparent – all within an environment that can be easily monitored and managed from any location (using the new Observer tool). Get more information from here.

25 September 2007 - PeerLock 2.0 released
More Granular File Management for Improved Collaboration with PeerLock v2.0. PeerLock 2.0 adds locking options for more precise control, increases visibility into locked files across collaborative environments, and offers a number of enhancements to streamline overall performance. This version eliminates several critical file management barriers (i.e, now files can be locked on any location even if the location requires different logon credentials) and facilitates more seamless collaboration by reducing file “release” intervals (longer “release” intervals increases the risk of “version conflict,” one of the main reasons collaborative projects are late, over-budget or fail).

27 February 2007 - Parallels announces release of the long awaited new version of Parallels Desktop for Mac. The new version of Parallels Desktop is anchored by Coherence, a groundbreaking new feature that runs Windows applications on the Mac like they are native applications. With the introduction of Coherence, we completely blow that line away,” said Benjamin Rudolph, Director of Communications, Parallels. “This is a game-changing technology that gives users the ability to choose the best application for the job at hand. We intend to expand the Coherence function to help computer users move to a truly operating system-agnostic desktop.”
